Rick Ector Takes On Calls For An Assault Weapon Ban on Fox2 Detroit News

Earlier today, I made a live appearance on Fox2 Detroit's News.

On the program, I stated my opinion in opposition to renewed calls all across the United States for a new Assault Weapons Ban in the wake of the mass shooting tragedy in the state of CT this past weekend.

In case you haven't heard, a deranged young man killed his mother, stole three of her firearms, and stole her car to drive five miles to an elementary school where he murdered 20 young children and six adults.

The gun control lobby believes the best way to address mass killings is to restrict access to arms to law-abiding citizens.
