When on foot, keep strangers at a reasonable and situationally appropriate distance, especially while standing in line awaiting service. Most predators see a "turned back" as an invitation to attack. Also, be mindful of your rear when entering and exiting a venue. Further, be mindful that everyone opening a door for you isn't chivalrous. Finally, turning your back to some people may be offensive as the subtle implication is that you do not see them as a possible threat. So, watch your back!
