Rick Ector Debates Detroit NAACP President On Rick Snyder's Veto Of SB-59

On Tuesday, I made a live appearance on Channel 7 Detroit Action News.

On the news program, I debated the Detroit NAACP President Reverend Wendell Anthony on the missed opportunity to help keep Michigan residents safe from violent crime and deranged psychopaths. As we all know by now, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder vetoed Michigan Bill SB-59. It is believed by many that the veto was caused by fallout created over the senseless tragedy in Newtown, CT.

If Snyder had approved the bill, it would have led to better trained Concealed Pistol License (CPL) holders being present in Pistol-FREE Zones. Also, it would have required for gun carriers in those areas to conceal their firearms. Under current law, CPL-holders may only open carry in those places.
