Personal Protection Tip: Moving To A Safer Neighborhood May Make Sense

Personal Protection Tip: The city where you live is a factor as to whether you will be targeted for a violent crime by predators. While it is true that violent crime can and does happen everywhere, it is extremely rampant in the following cities identified by Governor Snyder in his State of the State speech: Saginaw, Flint, Pontiac, and Detroit.

Furthermore, violent crime rates can vary in certain parts of a city. For example, the 48205 zip code has been identified by U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade as being Detroit's deadliest sector.

Thus, if you are very serious about Personal Protection choose your residence carefully. If you are unable or unwilling to move, take other precautions to ensure your family's safety. There is no shame in leaving; half of Detroit's police and fire staff have already left for the suburbs.
