Personal Protection Tip: Don't Make Your Windows Function As Display Cases

Personal Protection Tip: Bay windows are a desirable feature to have in a residence, as they can provide a picturesque view of the surrounding community. However, they can also be a security liability for they can allow casual observers from the outside to get a good look inside of your home.

If you have bay windows at your residence, you should give strong consideration to applying window treatments to maintain your privacy. In addition, you should have valuable furnishings and appliance NOT in plain view from the window: artwork, sculptures, prized collections, computers, consumer electronics, and firearms.

A significant factor that influences being crime-free is NOT providing a clear and compelling motive for bad guys to attack you by invading your home.
