Personal Protection Tip - Plan For Safety When Inundated By Snow
1. If you don't need to leave the house, stay home.
2. Clear snow from your own driveway.
3. Keep your gas tank full - gas is cheap now - no excuses.
4. Minimize travel down unplowed residential streets.
5. If you have multiple vehicles, drive the one least likely to get stuck.
6. Use "Rocking" (Back and Forth) Technique to work yourself free if stuck.
7. Use caution trying to pass cars on unplowed residential streets.
8. Dress Correctly (Gloves, Warm Coat, Hat, and Boots).
9. Good Tools to Have: AAA Card, Snow Shovel, Cardboard, Kitty Litter, Cell Phone, Friends on Standby)
10. Beware of Predators posing as Good Samaritans.
