Rick Ector to Keynote Detroit GOP Educational Event: The Racist Origins of Gun Control - Aug. 27th

Rick Ector to Keynote Detroit GOP Educational Event: The Racist Origins of Gun Control

America can't get enough talk about "racism" on the TV airwaves and all over the Internet. In the aftermath of a church shooting by a self-professed racist, many of you only desire to wage a political war against flags. The killer is locked up awaiting trial and you never hear about him.

So, anyway, I am going to offer my contribution to the conversation of racism in America: the racist and sordid history of gun control. Let's talk about how and why gun laws came into existence in the first place.

The sole purpose of gun laws was to disarm black people so they could only not defend themselves against the Klan but to also soothe the jittery nerves of ex-slave owners. While we are at it, let's also discuss the most relevant case in Detroit's history but also probably American history - the Sweet Trials.

I am guest speaking at the Detroit Office of GOP on August 27th. Lets talk about the racist roots of gun laws. See you there..
