Rick Ector Speaks at Councilman Tate's Gun Violence Forum

Rick Ector Speaks at Councilman Tate's Gun Violence Forum

It was my honor to participate in Councilman Tate's panel discussion on Gun Violence last night.

I shared my experiences about being an armed robbery victim in my own driveway. It was that event that led me to become a NRA certified firearm Instructor. My victimization has let to the training of many of our fellow citizens take a more active role in their personal protection.

I also had an opportunity to talk about my annual community service event that trains women how to operate a handgun. This year's event led to 700 women learning how to safely discharge a 9mm semi-automatic handgun.

T
I had a great night.
