Rick Ector Appears on AWR Hawkins' "Bullets" to Discuss Women's Firearm Training Event

Rick Ector Appears on AWR Hawkins' "Bullets" to Discuss Women's Firearm Training Event

Yesterday, I made my debut appearance on AWR Hawkins' podcast entitled Bullets.

On the show, I had an opportunity to tell both him and his listening audience about our annual free shooting event for women.

For the past 6 years, I have ran this event to train interested how to safely and accurately operate a 9mm handgun at a local urban gun range. This event has grown steadily from only 50 participants six years ago to an impressive 587 women this year.

I conceived this project after hearing about a metro-Detroit woman who was slain and had her body callously left to rot in a field. I felt that someone should do something. After a while, I accepted my own challenge an organized a small band of Instructors to do something.

Listen to the episode to learn the story and how you can do something similar in your town.
