Detroit Area - NRA Chief Range Safety Officer (RSO) Training - Sunday, March 26th, 2017

NRA Chief Range Safety Officer (RSO) Certification Class
Sunday, March 26th, 2017 at 10am
Certified RSOs looking to become a Chief RSO must take a course put on by an NRA Training Counselor who also holds the Chief RSO certification.

This 14-hour course is presented in two parts: Basic Instructor Training (BIT) and NRA Chief Range Safety Officer training. Each candidate will be asked to prove how long along it has been since BIT was last taken.

Sessions include standard operating procedures, inspections, emergency procedures, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, safety briefings.

Students must demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises and completing an open book exam. The exam must be passed by a minimum score of 90 percent.

Once the course is completed the RSO will be upgraded to a NRA Chief Range Safety Officer.

Candidates would be wise to review their original RSO student handbook and their BIT manual prior to attending class. It is expected that you will know the material fluently and utilize TPI while completing your projects and teaching assignments.

The training will be conducted at the Firearm Exchange Gun Range (30305 Schoolcraft Ave, Livonia, MI) on Sunday, March 26th, 2017 and will promptly start at 10am EST. No live fire exercises. No live ammo in the classroom. A projector will be available for your use.

Tuition is $300 USD and can be remitted at this address:
