Michigan Personal Protection Tip: Avoid Late-Night Beer Runs

Michigan Personal Protection Tips - Avoid Late-Night Beer Runs

Gas stations, liquor stores, convenience stores, and their associated parking lots are high crime areas. In general, you should spend as little time there as possible during the day. Accordingly, you should think twice before doing so during the late night and wee hours of the morning.

As such, you should take a few moments during the day to assess whether you have everything you need for the rest of the day.

Resist the urge to potentially put yourself in harm's way because you want to make a beer run, pick up a pack of cigarettes, or make some other small non-essential purchase. In most cases, it can wait until the morning.
