Michigan Personal Protection Tips: Have A Security Inspection Conducted On Your Home And Business

It could be a wise investment of your time to have a security audit conducted on your personal residence and/or business. Most law enforcement agencies provide them free of charge to their residents. In addition, these services are also provided, for cost, by credible security consulting firms.

A good security audit will focus on awareness, securing windows and doors, landscaping, lighting, surveillance and recording devices, cash handling practices, and training of staff.

The benefit of having an audit performed by law enforcement is that it is free. The downside is that they may not have info on the latest and greatest tools and devices available on the market. In contrast, a private consulting agency may charge an inspection fee but is often able to meet with you faster, on off-hours, and on weekends to better fit your schedule.

Any info that you can acquire to better protect your home or business, in my opinion, is a worthwhile investment. If you are not willing to pay a fee, schedule an appointment with your local police department. If you are anxious to get started and want info on the latest tools in the marketplace, call a private consulting firm.
