Michigan Personal Protection Tip: Ensure House Numbers Are Visible

Michigan Personal Protection Tips: Ensure Your House Numbers Are Visible.

Should you ever need assistance from emergency personnel (e.g. police, fire, EMS), it is absolutely critical that your address is visible from the street. Precious minutes wasted trying to find your home could make the difference between a positive outcome and a negative one.

Suggestions include the following:
- Using numbers at least 4 inches in height
- Using a contrasting background color
- Mount address to the top or side of main door
- Consider painting number on street-side curb
