Michigan Personal Protection Tip: Deter "Bump Key Bandits" With Electronic Dead-Bolt Locks

Michigan Personal Protection Tips: Deter "Bump-Key Bandits" With Electronic Dead-Bolt Locks.

Bump Keys are master keys that are only supposed to be used by professional locksmiths to help their customers gain access to their homes. However, with the advent of the Internet, crafty criminals have access to a wealth of information that enables them to quickly beat 90 percent of the locks in use today that are securing homes and residences all across the country.

The solution is to install electronic dead-bolt locks. No keys are required to either secure or gain access to a residence. As a consequence, bump keys are not a problem and home owners also no longer have to address common problems: lost keys, spare keys, or keys given to people who no longer should have them.
